Copper Project was created by Element Software. The application was intended to give users better control over their projects. Through Copper Project, team leaders and managers can monitor hours, timesheet reports and allot specific projects to individual team members for specified hours. Today Copper Project offers its users a wide selection of valuable tools, from to do lists to client contact details and scheduling features.
Copper Project provides many features which are extremely helpful for team projects. Although they are functional, most of these features have been done before. The layout and look of Copper Project may be reason enough for users to give it a try. Although it doesn’t offer much in the way of brand new features, it does provide a full spectrum of tools that any team manager can use.
The Copper Project website welcomes users with a blue and white color scheme complimented by colorful icons, photos and buttons. The design is very professional with open sides and a neat layout. The user account area is just as user friendly with convenient navigation tabs that allow the user to jump from clients, to do lists or projects to calendars, files, contacts and reports.
A new user can sign up for a free trial of Copper Project by clicking either the green “Try it free” button along the left hand side of the page or the white “Free Trial” link in the upper, right hand corner. The free trial form asks the user for a desired subdomain, number of users (which determines their desired plan), a first and last name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method. The user is also asked where they are, what industry they are in, what they are currently using and how they heard about Copper Project. A larger text field is also available at the bottom of the page for users who would like to send any comments or requirements.
Copper Project gives users four plans to choose from. The first is a Standard account which costs around $30 per month or $300 per year. This membership allows up to five users, unlimited projects, community support and 10 GBs of storage space. The Studio membership costs around $50 per month or $500 per year and upgrades to 25 users and 20 GBs of storage space. The Corporate membership costs around $100 per month or $1,000 per year and includes up to 100 users, email support and 50 GBs of storage. The Premium membership includes 300 users and up and unlimited storage space for around $200 per month or $2,000 per year.
Copper Project is a tool for team leaders, small businesses and others who manage projects that involve multiple people. The application is a little more expensive than some so a low or no budget start up may find it too pricy until their budget grows.
